The Red Dye Should Have Gone Somewhere Else

We tried, folks—we really did. We took our time and analyzed this photo multiple times, but we still can’t figure out what the designers were going for with these women’s underpants. They look like one pair of panties stacked on top of another! And what’s with the staining on the lace at the bottom? Every woman we know says getting their period in public is not only uncomfortable but downright nerve-wracking

Yet, somehow, we doubt these panties would make that situation any better. Could this be an attempt to normalize periods and period stains in society? Is this less of a fashion fail and more of a social statement or PSA? If so, it’s certainly a bold move. Still, it’s hard to imagine these designs offering practical solutions for everyday women. Are we missing something here, or is this just a case of style over substance?
