Epic Clothing Disasters That Made Us Love Fashion Even More
History Reincarnated
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that fascism went out of style decades ago. Yet, somehow, the message didn’t reach the creative team at Puma. They decided regrettably to make a shoe that, when seen from above, closely resembles an awful historical person whose last name begins with H. The ridiculousness is difficult to ignore even if it is not humorous
Might the shoe have been meant as a tribute to Charlie Chaplin rather? We might want to cut Puma some slack here. After all, most of us focus on the profile of sneakers when shopping, not the top-down view. Besides, to be fair, our parents always advised us to quit looking at our feet. Still, especially when they accidentally call to mind such powerful historical connections, it's a reminder that design elements are important. Perhaps next time Puma will double-check their designs before going into production.
